As a devoted mother and grandmother from a blended family, I am passionate about creating a better world for our children. I believe that current focuses on development, taxes, and political agendas often neglect the future of our children. My aim is to bring a nurturing and accountable perspective to the board, ensuring that taxpayer money is invested wisely for the best possible education in Manatee County.
Having faced significant challenges, including single motherhood, losing a teenage son to suicide, and surviving breast cancer, I bring resilience and dedication to the board. My lifelong love for children motivates me to serve, as I believe that love is a powerful force that will guide my decisions regarding education. The tragic loss of my son has driven me to help other parents and emphasize the importance of cherishing time with their children. My commitment to my faith inspires me to make principled decisions and be truthful with voters about educational issues. Known for my honesty and directness, I am committed to working collaboratively while holding officials accountable for our children's education.
